I don’t know about you but for me as a Mom I need all the tips I can get to live a happy life and all while keeping my sanity. Some days, I feel like I’m losing it with the kids running around like animals and so many things I need to get done and accomplished. I put together a few tips that have been working for me as a Mom and I wanted to share them with you.

Plan & Think Ahead

First lets talk about planning everything in advance and how it is a total game changer. When you have a plan you know what you need to do in order to get there on time or to get whatever it might be done. Trust me I am the one who was and sometimes still am considered the one late to everything!

With 2 kids and the dog which is sometimes running around the neighborhood crazy because I was busy rushing and getting the kids ready and she ended up getting loose! In the mean time since I didn’t plan anything I am already 10 minutes late and we haven’t even left the house yet. I recommend getting a planner or Journal to write down important dates such as doctor appointments, holiday events, social gathering (which is limited right now due to covid), and even early outs for school or days there is in service.

Having your kids go to bed on a regular bedtime routine helps keep them on a schedule so when morning hits they are refreshed and ready to go (well sometimes). If your kids are up late at night the changes of them jumping out of bed happy is less likely. My daughter is a grumpy beast when she doesn’t get enough sleep that’s for sure just like most kids would be.

Meal planning is something I love to do weekly preferably on Sunday nights, your night you pick might be different it’s all what works for you and your family. I like to know what I am cooking in advance so I can have it out and ready or already bought so I don’t have to take up even more time running to the grocery store every single night. It sure makes life easier going 1 time a week for groceries, other than besides our regular runs to get milk.

Take It Day By Day

Everyday I try to clean as we go or I feel overwhelmed and frustrated not being able to find things or move quickly around a big mess. My anxiety level sky rocket when kids are running around and my house is a disaster. Of course with kids there is no getting around not having a mess at all because kids will be kids. It sure does help to pick up and as you go about your day and I also have my kiddos help out so it takes less time.

Laundry at my house feels never ending with kids changing their clothes left and right. Doing one load of laundry a day might help keep things under control sometimes I even do 2 loads just depends on the time I have. I also try to accomplish 1 big chore daily although sometimes it’s hard but I just keep it in the back of my mind and tell myself I need to get it done even if it’s after bedtime as long as I can find the time.

Quiet Time In everyday

Having time for just peace and quiet is needed in everyday It keeps you less frustrated and calm. It gives you time to yourself which as mom we don’t get very often ( I go to the bathroom with toddlers) and I bet you do to. Making a scheduled nap time also helps my kiddos to stay fresh and ready to keep going with our busy day. It keeps them happy and allows them to have peace as well from running around all morning. If you’re having trouble getting your kids to nap don’t worry I do to but once you get a routine thing should lighten up bit.

Be Happy. Be Calm. Be Thankful

Be happy no matter how the day is going. When you feel like things are not going very good one day and you’re feeling overwhelmed stress, and tired just know so are other moms. Trust me I am there at least once a week no matter how hard I try not to be. Be thankful for the moments you have things could always be worse. Lighten up kids will be kids and not everything will go as planned which is ok. Taking it day by day and trying g to be the best mom you can is all your little ones will ask for and want from you!

Take time for your kids don’t be so busy you can’t find the time for them. Quite what you might be doing or take a break and enjoy some fresh air with them. Don’t let other things distract you your kids need you and want your attention sometimes more than we realize show them you can and will find time with them. On days, I get frustrated or overwhelmed I need some fresh air just to try to stay calm which is fine being a mom is not as easy as it sounds at all but we will get through it and make the best out of it.

Moms Find Other Moms

When you feel like things are getting hard sometimes as mom we need other moms to connect with and talk things through with others who go through the same things. Sometimes we need reassurance that we are not the only ones all the things are happening to and a friend to ride on this journey with us.

I hope you enjoyed this article and the tips or suggestions above help you through this amazing crazy busy thing we call Motherhood. I wish you the best and would love to hear some of your own tips or things you do as a mom to help you through your days.
